Do you see patients of all ages?

YES! We are a family dental practice and find great joy in being your whole family's Castro Valley Dental Home. We see pediatric patients/children, adults, and seniors/elderly). We recommend children find a dental home around the age of 12 months (1-year-old) so they are conditioned to be comfortable in the dental chair as they grow up.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most insurances and we are happy to bill your dental insurance plan on your behalf to help you maximize your benefits. Each dental insurance plan is unique; however, our knowledgeable treatment coordinator is happy to give you an estimate of what your plan may cover to help defray your out-of-pocket costs. Dr. Matthew Yuen grew up close by in Alameda, CA, and is proud to be back in Castro Valley. He attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and completed his residency at the McClellan Veteran Affairs Clinic. Now, he is proud to provide outstanding dentistry in the place he has long called home. That is why he treats all patients like family and is committed to patient education.

Dr. Ava Chen received her training in the Bay Area, graduating from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. She has been in practice since 1999 and, as a proud Castro Valley dentist, is an active volunteer in the community.
